So, you might be wondering, what on earth inspired me, your friendly neighborhood photographer, to offer sessions with total strangers? Well, it's all about love – and let me tell you, I'm head over heels for it! This could absolutely be my new "thing" so if this idea excites you and you are a Detroit Area single? Get to applying babe!
Why Stranger Sessions? Because, why the heck not? Every person is a unique masterpiece, and I wanted to capture the magic that happens when two souls collide. The fact I get to be the one who sets it up... EEEEK! I mean, who wouldn't want to document those electric moments when love happens unexpectedly? Or at least the possibility for it! It's like stumbling upon a hidden gem in a world full of possibilities! Hey, life's too short to play it safe, right? So, armed with my camera and a whole lot of enthusiasm, I set out to find willing Detroit area singles willing to feed their inner hopeless romantic.
Singles applied on my website (you can too) and I have been trying to decide on a match ever sense. Now, let me assure you, deciding to pick the two strangers I did was not a snap decision. There were quiet a few applicants and I went back and forth but my gut told me these two had too much in the yes category for me to pass by. So, I contacted each of them and told them the details of why they were matched based on their applications and asked if they'd agree to meet... in front of the camera... on a blind date! They literally would turn around, meet and go immediately into a couples photo shoot! And guess what.. they said YES!

Drumroll, please! I'm stoked to introduce you to the dynamic duo, Willow and Jasper. I'm not a professional matchmaker, I'm just a photographer who believes in the human experience and love... but dammmnnnn did I do good! The giggles and fun started right away! Jasper was the perfect gentleman and Willow so willing and sweet. I about freakin' melted when during the shoot I had them get their faces REAL close and I heard Jasper whisper "we will get through this together"... omg are you freakin kidding me?! Insert heavy sigh here. I though I was going to turn into a Looney Tunes cartoon with hearts coming out of eye sockets.
The session was just earlier today but I can tell you that when I left they were still hanging back and talking... and I may or may not have heard that they stayed and talked for next 45 mins before exchanging numbers. When I heard this did I squeal like a teenage girl and start doing the Carleton across my living room? Why yes... yes, I did. They have promised me more details and I will share them with you, my peeps but until then...here are your sneak peeks from the session!
